Dr. Nanci Stafford, EDD, LCSW

With over 40 years of experience, she specializes in trauma therapy, schema therapy, attachment wounds, family systems, and recovery from narcissistic abuse and antagonistic relationships.

Known for her integrative and compassionate approach, Dr. Stafford combines evidence-based practices such as Schema Therapy, EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamics, Attachment Theory and Family Systems (FS) to help individuals and couples break out of stuck patterns and rediscover inner clarity. Her work often focuses on healing emotional deprivation, childhood trauma, anxiety, depression, and relational disconnection.

Dr. Stafford offers therapy for adults and couples both in-person and online throughout North Carolina. She is passionate about guiding clients through emotional healing, nervous system regulation, and strengthening identity after toxic relationship dynamics. Her work is deeply rooted in helping clients feel safe, seen, and empowered to reclaim their lives.

In addition to clinical work, Dr. Stafford provides training and supervision for therapists and offers intensive therapy sessions, workshops, and digital courses on trauma-informed care, schema activation, and attachment repair.
